 Hostería Suiza is located in the Oasis of Huacachina, 5 minutes away from the city of Ica.
The owner, Heidi Baumgarther and native of Huacachina, is the daughter of Suisse hotelliers and pioneers who settled here 60 years ago in the Oasis. She has combined the warmth of her services with sobriety and elegance of the installations.
The Oasis is surrounded by sand dunes, which may reach up to 150 meters (450 feet) high and which are prime for walkes, sand surfing and dune buggy rides.
Should you wish to make side trips, you could very well visit the Ballestas Islands in Paracas, 70 kilometers (44 miles) north of Ica. Once there you can admire the sea lions along different kinds of coastal sea birds.
Also, you can overfly the famous Nasca lines. This flights can be taken right in Ica or from Nasca itself, 150 kilometers (94 miles) south.
 You may also wish to visit artisan or industrial Pisco and wine distilleries.
