Properties and benefits:
Hemp is a very versatile plant, every part of it can be used to produce different product.
One hectare of hemp produces as many fibre as 4 hectares of trees or 2 hectares of coton. Its cultivation contributes to avoid deforestation.
From the stem pulp to produce paper is made, in which fabrication acids nor chlor are used. Hemp paper can be recycled up to 7 times and lasts as long as 1000 years without losing its color or turning yellow.
Of this material construction planks are made and pressed materials used in the automobile and construction industry.
The fibre of hemp, obtained from the stem, is larger than the fibre of coton and up to 4 times more resistant. Of these fibres an infinity of types of fabrics can be obtained. The products made of these fabrics reject up to 90% of UV beams. In its cultivation there is no need for chemicals, pesticides or herbicides.
The seed contains 25% of high quality protein versus 40% of essential fat acids.
From the oil GLA is obtained, which contains Omega 3 and Omega, which prevents cardiovascular diseases, reduces cholesterol and bloodpressure, and helps to improve symptoms of artritis.
Moreover, hemp oil can be used in the production of fuel, lubricants and paint. |
