Objectives:
Located at 415 Ruinas street, second floor, this is a beautiful place where, for a moment, the decorations take you back to your childhood days. This is part of the economic self-sustainability concept. This is a system that's purpose is to financially support the Yanapay Village project, as well as to try to show that it is possible to create businesses that can maintain themselves based on ethics, honor, and fair payment of their employees. These economic centers, after covering their costs and reaching their balance point will devote their earnings to the opening and maintenance of social projects.
In other words, a business can cover its costs perfectly and fund social projects with its profits
Objectives:
- to be a place for the constant exposition and sale of the Village’s products.
- to attract people interested in the project and in other cultural projects
- to attract volunteers for the “Yanapay School”
- to attract volunteers to live at the “Yanapay House”
- to be a place that promotes cultural exchange and viability for projects like the Village
- to be an example of a fair economic system, rejecting capitalism and all that it boycots. For example:
- fair wages for those that work in the cafe, according to the law
- quality service
- acceptance and compliance with the requirements of tax, labor, and health laws
- loyal competition with others
- receive profits that allow for salaries for people who perform strategic and necessary functions in the Yanapay village (psychologist, accountant, director), as well as the construction of new schools and other projects.
- to make profits that will permit the continuation of existing projects and the start of new projects. It is important that you understand that for the economic support of the project, we will give special preference to being self-sustainable, clearly, but we always accept any donation or external support.
- we try to buy organic products and consume peruvian products, that’s why we are one of the only restaurants that doesn’t sell any Coca Cola nor Nestlé products (thanks Elina)
- I believe it is time that we human beings became conscient of the big problems going on in the world right now, and being or not being part of the solution is a personal option that I respect. But, the negativism and the ignorance sometimes make us into complices in processes that are destroying the world. That is why Aldea Yanapay believes that details can make or break a society. I invite you to take a look at the Social Guide in the main menu to find out more about these themes.
Important: the Restaurant Yanapay is a place that is proud of receiving both local public as well as foreigners. We have a varied menu, with national and international dishes, snacks and drinks, all of which I’m sure will exite your eyes as well as your palate.
We attend to events, lunches, diners and breakfasts to groups and institutions, for which we have a varied menu you can subscribe to by email or telephone under ‘contacts’ in the main menu. |
